Marking pages as blank / not blank in the Capture Assistant

This feature is available only in PaperPort Professional.

 

The PaperPort ca marking pages Marking pages as blank / not blank in the Capture Assistant Blank/not Blank button on Page Thumbnail Toolbar is enabled only if at least one of the following options is turned on in the SET panel of the Settings – Scanning Profile dialog box:

  • Delete Blank Pages

  • Blank page is job separator

If neither of them is turned on, the Blank/not Blank button will have no affect.

To classify a page as blank:

  1. Select its thumbnail.

  2. Click the PaperPort ca marking pages Marking pages as blank / not blank in the Capture Assistant Blank/not Blank button on the Page Thumbnail Toolbar or select Blank Page from the shortcut menu. The icon and the caption will indicate that the selected page is considered to be a new blank separator. Also, document boundary markers appear to indicate that the former single range of pages is split into two separate ranges.

To classify a blank page as not being blank:

  1. Select its thumbnail.

  2. Click the PaperPort ca marking pages Marking pages as blank / not blank in the Capture Assistant Blank/not Blank button on the Page Thumbnail Toolbar or select Blank Page from the shortcut menu. The icon and the caption will disappear to indicate that the selected page is not considered blank any more. Also, the document boundary markers at the end of the current range and at the beginning of the next range will disappear to indicate that both ranges are unified into a single one.
