Assigning scan profiles to scanner buttons

You have to assign a scan profile to a scanner button, if you want to start scanning directly from your scanner even without opening PaperPort. This must be done in two steps: first you have to assign PaperPort to a scanner push button, then you can select a scan profile. Once a profile is already assigned to a button, scanning starts immediately each time the button is pushed.

To assign PaperPort to a scanner button

  1. Select Scanners and Cameras from the Windows Control Panel.

  2. In the Scanners and Cameras panel, select your scanner, right-click and choose Properties from its shortcut menu.

  3. Click the Events tab and select Push Button under Scanner events and PaperPort as an application where this event will be sent.

  4. Click Apply and then OK

  5. Close the Scanners and Cameras panel.

Note

Some scanners have only one push button, others may have more than one. On the Events panel, you can assign a different application to each push button.

To assign a profile to a scanner button

  1. Push your scanner button. The Select Profile dialog box will appear.

  2. Select a profile then click OK.

Note
