Using the Scan or Get Photo pane to scan documents

Click the PaperPort scan Using the Scan or Get Photo pane to scan documents Scan Settings button in the Desktop ribbon to display this pane.

 

Use the Scan or Get Photo pane to bring images and documents into PaperPort so that you can use PaperPort’s features. PaperPort is designed to work with all TWAIN- and WIA-compatible scanners.

 

On the Scan or Get Photo pane, you can

  • select a scanner (Select button),

  • select an appropriate scan profile with predefined settings,

  • change the current settings (Settings button),

  • decide whether the PaperPort scan interface or the scanner’s own interface should be used (Display scanner dialog box checkbox),

  • decide whether to show or hide the Capture Assistant (Show Capture Assistant checkbox) and

  • start scanning (Scan button).

In PaperPort Professional, you can also create new profiles (New button) and delete profiles (Delete button).
 

A profile summary is displayed on the Scan or Get Photo pane. This includes information on output type, scan parameters and image enhancement.

If the scanner driver’s native UI is being used, neither the scanner settings nor the SET tools will affect the scanned image, so none of these settings and options will be displayed here.
