To reduce the scanning time of multiple items

To scan several photographs or small items on a flatbed scanner at the same time, rather than scanning each item individually:

  1. Place as many items as will fit on the scanner plate, rotated if necessary, and scan them to PaperPort as a single item.

  2. Display the item in the Image View window.

  3. On the Page ribbon, choose PaperPort select Reducing the scanning time of multiple items Select Area to outline one of the images.

    — or —

On the Edit ribbon, choose PaperPort select entire image Reducing the scanning time of multiple items Select the Whole Image and draw a dashed frame around one of the images.

  4. Hold down the Ctrl key and press the C key. This copies the selected area to the Clipboard.

  5. Switch to the PaperPort desktop.

  6. Hold down the Ctrl key and press the V key.

This pastes the Clipboard contents to the desktop as a new PDF Image file.

Tip

To make this procedure even faster, use the separate ImageViewer program instead of PaperPort’s Image View to display the item with several scanned photographs.
