Changing the default PDF security settings
Once you have selected the Use these settings as default checkbox in the PDF Security dialog box those passwords and settings will be applied to all newly created PDF files when scanning to PDF, saving as PDF or duplicating as PDF. The default settings remain valid until they are changed.
To change the default security settings

On the Item ribbon, choose
Change Default in the PDF Security group.

Change the settings and click OK.
Note
If you are creating a PDF file from other PDF files (e.g. by unstacking) it will inherit the source file settings.
