Send To Options — for photo and image editing programs

To edit items in an image editing program other than in the Image View window, you can send the items to an image editing program on the Send To bar.

PaperPort supports a variety of image editing programs, such as Microsoft Paint and Adobe Photoshop.

On the Send To bar, right-click the program icon and then click Send To Options to display the Send To Options dialog box. In the dialog box, you can tune default options for your image editing program.

Under Send Items As:

  • Reduce image to screen resolution (96 dpi) — Sets the resolution of your images to 96 dots per inch (dpi). This produces a smaller file with a resolution that is adequate for screen display. Clear this checkbox for high-quality printing or DTP work. Use it for screen display (e.g. web pages).

  • Supported file types — If the image editing program requires conversion of your items to a different file type, select the file type to use in that program. This option does not apply to some linked image editing programs.

Under Options:

  • Show warning if item has annotations — Displays a message to alert you that annotations will become a permanent part of an image that contains annotations.

  • Update original item if item sent is modified — If you save changes to the image in the image editing program, the modified image replaces the original image on the PaperPort desktop.
