To view found items

When you search for an item, you can use the View Text window to see the textual content of documents that have matching search criteria.

PaperPort immediately opens the View Text window and displays the contents of the current document whenever you search for item content from the Image View window.

When you search an item from the PaperPort desktop, PaperPort displays the Search Results window that shows a list of each found item. To view the content of any item, simply click the item in the Search Results list, and then click the View Text button to display the View Text window.

In the View Text window:

  • If the item has more than one page, use the Page buttons at the top left or click Go to Page to go to a specific page.

  • If you are viewing an item whose content has been added to the All-in-One Search index, use the Match buttons at the top right corner of the window to locate the next or previous match. PaperPort displays the matching criteria in red.

  • To copy any portion of the content, select the text you want to copy, and then click Copy Text. This copies the selected text to the Clipboard so that you can paste it into any other file or location. Simply navigate to where you want to paste the text, position the cursor at the insertion point, click the right mouse button, and then click Paste.
