To set the image quality for new items

Using PaperPort Options, you can set the image quality for new PaperPort Image (.max) files and PDF files that are created during certain operations. Specifically, you can set the quality for whenever you:

  • Save a file as a PaperPort Image item

  • Print a file to the PaperPort desktop as a PaperPort Image (.max) or PDF file.

The level of file compression determines image quality. Higher compression levels result in a loss of image quality, while lower compression levels increase image quality but also increase file size. Large files occupy disk space and can take a long time to send and display over the Internet.
