Customizing the Quick Access Toolbar
As a delivery default, the Quick Access Toolbar is located above the Tab bar, to the right of the PaperPort button, and contains a limited set of tools. These can be managed in the Customize Quick Access Toolbar drop-down menu, accessible by the down arrow on the right of the Toolbar. You can:
-
add other most frequently used commands to be accessed by clicking their buttons,
-
remove command buttons from this Toolbar,
-
relocate the Quick Access Toolbar below the ribbon,
-
minimize the ribbon to have a larger workspace: after you click a tab, the associated ribbon is only displayed until you choose a command from it.
To add further commands to the Quick Access Toolbar
-
Choose More Commands in the Customize Quick Access Toolbar drop-down menu. The Customize dialog box is displayed.
-
In the Choose commands from selection box, choose the ribbon whose commands you want to be offered in the Commands window for addition to the Quick Access Toolbar.
-
Select an item from the list and click Add to display it on the Quick Access Toolbar.
-
You can rearrange commands with the Up and Down buttons.
To remove commands from the Quick Access Toolbar
-
Choose More Commands in the Customize Quick Access Toolbar drop-down menu. The Customize dialog box is displayed.
-
Select a command in the right-side window and click Remove. The selected command disappears from the Quick Access Toolbar and appears in the Commands window within the appropriate list.
Click Customize to manage keyboard shortcuts for frequently used commands in the Customize Keyboard dialog box.
To restore the delivery time appearance of the Quick Access Toolbar, click Reset in the Customize dialog box.
Notes
Since you can freely specify which commands are to be collected on the Quick Access Toolbar, throughout this Help, no reference is made to using tools from this Toolbar.
The components of the Quick Access Toolbar have to be chosen individually for the PaperPort Desktop window, the PaperPort Image View, and the separate ImageViewer program.
Tips
To use keyboard accelerators for the buttons positioned on the Quick Access Toolbar, press <Alt> to view accelerators, and then press the corresponding numeric key or keys on your keyboard.
You may prefer to add only commands that require further user interaction before being carried out. This avoids the risk of an unintended mouse-click executing a command immediately.
