Auto-enhance Settings dialog box

Access this from the Scan pane by selecting a profile, clicking Settings, choosing the SET panel, enabling Auto-enhance and clicking the associated button.

The Auto-enhance Settings dialog box displays the current black point and white point values for the selected scanner profile. Buttons let you change or reset these values.

Note

The “black” and “white” point information must be represented as a value between 0 and 255 for grayscale images, and between RGB(0, 0, 0) and RGB(255, 255, 255) for color images.

Pick the last used colors from ImageViewer
— Click this to change the current black and white point values to new black and white point values determined experimentally in Image View. These changed values will be used for auto-enhancement of all images to be scanned with this profile.

Reset default colors — Click this button to reset the default hard-coded black and white point values: these are almost white (225, 225, 225) and almost black (30, 30, 30).
