To set the format of e-mail attachments

If you want to send an image, you can convert the item to a common image format. JPEG is a popular format for photos and single page items. Documents and multi-page items can be sent as PDF or TIFF files.

To convert an item for sending as an e-mail attachment, you can:

  • Change the Send To Options for your linked e-mail program to specify JPEG, PDF, or other the file format of your choice. You can specify to convert all image items or just PaperPort Image (.max) files.

PaperPort will convert the item to the specified file format when you drag items to the e-mail program on the Send To bar. You will only have to make this change one time. The change is saved and will also apply the next time you use PaperPort.

  • Convert the PaperPort Image item to another file format on the PaperPort desktop. Right-click the item on the PaperPort desktop, click Save As, and specify PDF, JPEG, or other file format of your choice. You can now drag the image item to the e-mail program icon on the Send To bar.
