To fax an item
PaperPort works with many popular fax programs. If your computer has a fax program and a fax modem, you can send items to the fax program directly from PaperPort.
On the PaperPort desktop, select the item you want to fax.
Drag and drop the item onto the fax program icon on the Send To bar
— or —
Click on the PaperPort button, choose Send To, and then click the fax program name.
PaperPort starts the fax program with your selected item ready to be sent.
Use your fax program to send the item as you would any other type of file.
In the Image View window, choose Send To from the PaperPort button drop-down list and then click the fax program to send an item to the fax program while you work in that view.
PaperPort recognizes most fax programs and displays the fax program icon on the Send To bar. If there is no fax driver on your computer, you will need to reinstall the software for your fax program.
When importing an image that was saved by a fax program or when printing from a fax program using the PaperPort print driver, the document may be reduced in size. This can occur when a document is faxed in standard mode, which creates an image with a 100 x 200 dpi. To resolve this issue, import all incoming faxed documents in fine mode to create an image that is 200 x 200 dpi.
