Selecting another scanner in ScanDirect
Open the Scanner Wizard to select a different scanner in ScanDirect.
To select a different scanner in ScanDirect

Install your scanner with its own scanner driver as delivered by the scanner manufacturer.

Start the Scanner Wizard as described in its topic.

Click Next in the first panel.

Choose ‘Select and test scanner or digital camera’ and click Next.

Select an already used scanner from the list, or click the Add scanner button to setup a different scanner.
To test and repair an improperly functioning scanner, open the Scanner Wizard and choose ‘Select and test scanner or digital camera’ in the second panel, then work through the procedure.
To retest a scanner at a later time, reopen the Scanner Wizard.
Note
If you install your scanner while ScanDirect is running, your device will be displayed without having to restart the program.
To change the default scanner in ScanDirect

Start the Scanner Wizard.

Choose ‘Select and test scanner or digital camera’.

Move the highlight to the scanner you want as default.

Click Next to go through the Scanner Wizard panels.
